If you are new here, welcome to my fifth blog traffic report. In these blog traffic reports, I try to show you how my traffic did in the past month and a sum result of how the blog is doing thus far.
Here is the last one, for your viewing pleasure.
I do this for a few reasons:
It helps me keep track of my own progress
It creates a reference point for me to look back and expand on
It shows whoever is starting out their blogging journey to know what to expect
It can be quite inspiring to know you are not alone in whatever stage you are
Some things that are important to notice:
I use Wix as my chosen blogging software because I like the ease of messing with it. Besides, I like other features such as their SEO Assistant. I saw their ads, had already heard about them, tried it out, and liked it. Simple as that.
I don't use any paid traffic, as I plan to develop this blog organically for as long as I see fit.
I only use Pinterest to promote my posts but I am thinking about expanding to Instagram (didn't do it yet)
Let's dive into this month's blog traffic report
Wix Traffic Overview
Thank God I saw more movement this month hahahah This past month, I tried to give more focus to actively promoting the blog, although it still is miles behind what I should be doing. I shared the blog on an influencer's group chat. Toni, the influencer, was the one who hosted the event I went to a few weeks ago. Some of the girls in the group chat accessed it and liked the blog!
This month I have some little surprises I'm super excited about! Hopefully, it will help with the engagement, but more on that next month.
I also had two other clicks in early October. One was organic, directly from Google and the other was a direct visit from a link I shared with a friend, who will be part of the surprise.
Google's Search Console
On that note, I can proudly say that I have been on Google's first results page for more than a month now, for the keyword "blog traffic report". I've been getting more movement on my monthly reports and on the post about the Ghost Town Phase of your blog. Here is a screenshot of my Search Console's overview.
Over the last 30 days, I had 3 organic clicks from Google searches, and my conversation rate is sitting at 4.1%. Over the course of the last 3 months, I got 9 clicks total.
For those of you new to this sort of metric, conversion rate, in this case, is how many clicks I got vs. how many times the blog showed up in people's results.
Coming from an e-commerce background, 4 to 5% is industry standard, so I'm happy to be here.
Google Analytics
My most recent tracking update is Google Analytics. Since setting it up on the blog, I got 3 users and 15 events. Events are things like scrolling down the page, clicking somewhere, if this is a first visit or not, etc...
On Pinterest, I've been failing to post every weekday, so my impressions have decreased a lot. That being said, I am getting more overall engagement and outbound clicks. I'm also sitting at about 11 followers now.
I use Canva to make my Pins and I think I'm getting the hang of what people are drawn to the most amongst my designs.
These are my most viewed pins from the last month and I've also been getting more clicks and views on older Pins. Time does compound results, y'all.
All-time results and final thoughts
Since starting the blog, in May 2023, I had:
Site sessions: 69
Unique visitors: 40
Avg. session duration: 1m55s
My mission till the end of the year is to be less shy and worry less about sharing this space of mine with my personal network and promote it more. I am proud of my efforts here, after all.
