If you are new here, welcome to my sixth blog traffic report. In these blog traffic reports, I try to show you how my traffic did in the past month and a sum result of how the blog is doing thus far.
Here is the last one, for your viewing pleasure.
I do this for a few reasons:
It helps me keep track of my own progress
It creates a reference point for me to look back and expand on
It shows whoever is starting out their blogging journey to know what to expect
It can be quite inspiring to know you are not alone in whatever stage you are
Some things that are important to notice:
I use Wix as my chosen blogging software because I like the ease of messing with it. Besides, I like other features such as their SEO Assistant. I saw their ads, had already heard about them, tried it out, and liked it. Simple as that.
I don't use any paid traffic strategies, as I plan to develop this blog organically for as long as I see fit.
I use Pinterest to promote my posts but am considering expanding to Instagram (I haven't done it yet).
Let's dive into this month's blog traffic report
Wix Traffic Overview
A few weeks ago I took a break from the blog. I became demotivated working on it, as the Ghost Town Phase got the best of me. From the last week or so of October until the end of November, I wasn't active on here and that's why the movement was so slow.
The schedule of 3 three posts a week became too much for me, with a new hectic routine, and when I finally sat down to write, nothing felt right. I decided to take that as a queue and rest for a bit.
During this rest period, I missed the one thing that made me start the blog: an outlet for my busy mind. You can read the complete break story here. Long story short, I'm back now.
Google's Search Console
For some reason, the click counts on Google don't reflect the same number of visitors here on the blog and I can't figure out why. Anyway, I did see more clicks this month as opposed to last month.
People mainly the blog on Google when looking for traffic reports, as the one you are reading now, as well as the blog-related content. The Ghost Town Phase is doing very well on Google too.
Since I started on Google's Search Console, I've had a total of 14 organic clicks and 356 impressions. When I have an update about why this is not properly reflected on the site, I'll make sure to explain.
As I said before, I also took a break from Pinterest as well, so it's no surprise the movement over there was virtually dead. It already started picking back up, though
On that note, one of the pins started doing well and continues to. The power of asking stupid questions also did very well on Linkedin, when I posted it over there.
All-time results and final thoughts
As I've always been saying, every single step forward is a good step, even though this month has literally been just one.
Since starting the blog, in May 2023, I've had:
Site sessions: 70
Unique visitors: 41
