The midway point in my 30-days-of-posts-challenge

I decided that at the start of September, I would start posting every day, aiming for some things. In this post, I want to assess how close I am to reaching them and analyze what this challenge has done for the blog and myself. Let's dive into it.

Why I started the 30-days-of-posts-challenge?

In my first post for this month, I wrote this list of reasons I wanted to do it, as well as some things I wanted to achieve.

  • Challenges are an excellent way to revive interest and consistency

  • I love novelty and am, oftentimes, a victim of the "new shiny object" syndrome, which I'll talk about later in the challenge. This is sort of a new thing to me.

  • It felt good to switch gears for a while

  • It inspires me to search for new topics to talk about

  • I want that sense of completion by the end of it.

  • It'll force me into the habit of writing more and

  • I need to have a system for posting, which I don't have yet

  • I got excited every time I thought about it

  • I want to be a better writer, and the intense practice will make me that

  • I want to get out of the blog's ghost phase (another post coming up) while raising authority and trustworthiness. Much easier and faster said than done.

  • I want to know if I'm capable of something like this

Let's assess them together.

Challenges are an excellent way to revive interest and consistency

I still agree with that. Challenges have the ability to create inspiration and get us out of our comfort zone. It definitely did for me, together with another professional opportunity I took on that I have yet to talk about here. There were lots of challenges for me this month.

I love novelty and am, oftentimes, a victim of the "new shiny object" syndrome, which I'll talk about later in the challenge. This is sort of a new thing to me.

I think this one is sort of self-explanatory but I liked the challenge sparked something in me to keep up my dedication with the blog.

It felt good to switch gears for a while

And by switch gear, I mean having a new post scheduled, having to adapt some of my routines to accommodate it, and really thinking about what I wanted to talk about.

If I'm being honest, with all the load I took on, recently, I don't know how good it still feels hahaha

It inspires me to search for new topics to talk about

One of my personal goals for the end of this challenge was to have a system within myself to think about different topics and think about how the same subject could have a few variants.

I can't say yet that I have a full system developed, but something unlocked in my brain when thinking of ideas.

I want that sense of completion by the end of it.

This is the thing I'm looking forward to the most. I want to be proud of myself and have a sense that I can do anything I put my mind to. Can't wait!

It'll force me into the habit of writing more

It definitely did, especially during my preparation for the challenge at the end of August. I made a point to have at least 10 posts ready to go for when September started, but I feel like I fell out of it in the past week because of some family visits and my new professional gig.

I'm working on getting back to it.

I need to have a system for posting, which I don't have yet

The same is true here, I was in a very nice flow in the first 10 days of writing, but fell out it a bit. Getting a system up should be my next priority.

I got excited every time I thought about it

Oh, this one still gets me. I love writing and this blog is my baby, so although it became harder to keep up with the scheduled posts, I'm still excited to finish a post.

I want to be a better writer, and the intense practice will make me that

Reading some of my posts back, I think that this is sort of true. I feel like I'm getting my point across more often than not, but I also think I still have. along way to go.

I want to get out of the blog's ghost phase (another post coming up) while raising authority and trustworthiness.

I mean, this a very well-educated hypothesis, but a hypothesis nonetheless, right? I also need to consider that my blog is not old enough in the eyes of the search engines yet, so that may take a while.

I want to know if I'm capable of something like this

I love proving a point to myself, just for the sake of it hahaha

Still, this is a thing that moves me, knowing how capable I am, so yeah, still a valid point.

This 30-days-of-posts-challenge is no easy feat, but I'm in for the fun.

Last but not least, I'm curious as to what are you guys thinking about the challenge, the more frequent posts, and the subjects I'm bringing on. Let's chat!
